Presently, India is facing a severe shortage of well trained and skilled workers.It is estimated that o nly 2.3% of the workforce in India has undergone formal skill training as compared to 68% in the UK, 75% in Germany, 52% in USA, 80% in Japan and 96% in South Korea. Large sections of the educated workforce have little or no job skills, making them largely unemployable. Therefore, India must focus on scaling up skill training efforts to meet the demands of employers and drive economic growth.
To drive the force and raise country’s employment pyramid,Mahendra group has taken an initiative to provide skill training and development to the unemployed sector. Mahendra’s Skills Training & Development Private Limited is a listed private company incorporated on 30 March, 2015 co founded by Naveen Kumar Jain and Shikha Jain.
Since its incorporation company is showcasing its colours of success. Mahendra’s believes that skills training and development presents a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base of all employees. Undergoing training session can help the employees assess their weak and strong areas of work help them to improve their work performance and most important it will give employee satisfaction. In other words, training and development provides both the company as whole and individual employees with benefits that make the cost and time a worthwhile investment. Presently, Mahendra’s conducts trainings for insurance recruitments like LIC, NICL and for banking sector like pre-recruitment training and departmental trainings. Moreover, in just such a short span of time Mahendra’s became training partner with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojana (PMKVY) and is now into six sectors – retail, telecom, tourism and hospitality, banking, automotive and logistics and the day is not far when it will be dealing into many other sectors.
