Vocational education inside government secondary schools of Uttar Pradesh β so students learn a real, NSQF-aligned trade alongside their regular studies. Delivered by Mahendra Skills with 166+ vocational trainers (VTs) under the UP Madhyamik project.
Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is the Government of India's flagship integrated school-education programme, covering every stage from pre-primary to senior secondary. It brings the earlier Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and Teacher Education schemes under one umbrella, with a single goal β holistic, equitable, quality education for every child.
A key pillar of the scheme is vocational education in schools: students of classes 9β12 learn employable, NSQF-aligned job skills inside their own school β bridging learning gaps, reducing dropouts and preparing young people for work or higher study.
Mahendra Skills is an implementing partner for school-based vocational education in Uttar Pradesh.
As part of the Samagra Shiksha vocational-education programme, we take full responsibility for skill delivery inside the allotted government secondary schools.

When a student learns a real trade in classes 9β12, employability stops being an after-thought β it becomes part of growing up. School-based vocational education reduces dropouts, builds confidence, and gives families in every district a head start on livelihood.
School-embedded vocational delivery is a key growth pillar of our five-year plan β taking skills to students at scale, district by district.
